Maintaining Your Device
Do not expose your Device or adapter to liquids. If your Device or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the Device and adapter to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry your Device or adapter with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. If the Device or adapter appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Use only accessories supplied with the Device to power your Device. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your Device or any wires connected to your Device during a lightning storm.

Only handle your Device with clean hands. Clean the Device with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe it with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals. Don&t expose your Device to steam, extreme heat or cold. For example, do not install your Device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat.

Use of third-party accessories may impact your Device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your Device’s limited warranty. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Device.

Only use the included power adapter with your Device. Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet. If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall outlet. Overloading an outlet can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.

Your Device may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your Device on a heat resistant surface.

Other Safety Considerations

  • Small parts contained in your Device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
  • For safety, compliance, and other information regarding any networking equipment or computer connected to your Device, please consult the user manual and other information provided by the manufacturer.
  • Install your power adapter into an easily accessible socket-outlet located near the equipment that will be plugged into or powered by the adapter.

Using Your Device Around Other Electronic Devices
Your Device generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. Power Consumption, Low Power Mode, and Wifi Off

Overview
eero Pro (B010001) / eero Pro 6 (K010001) automatically enter a Networked Standby Mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and also provides users the option to enter a Low Power Mode and disable wifi radios. The table below provides power consumption data for each mode along with simple instructions for entering each mode.

Overview
eero Pro (B010001) / eero Pro 6 (K010001) automatically enter a Networked Standby Mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and also provides users the option to enter a Low Power Mode and disable wifi radios. The table below provides power consumption data for each mode along with simple instructions for entering each mode.

  • To enter the Low Power Mode, tap the reset button on the back of the unit 10 times (10 presses).
  • To deactivate wifi, tap the reset button on the back of the unit 8 times (8 presses).
  • Automatically enters Networked Standby after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity (no user interaction).

Entering Low Power Mode
Low power standby mode (off mode) can be enabled with the following procedure:

  • After the device is fully setup and on, tap the reset button on the back of the unit 10 times (10 presses)
  • Device will immediately enter low power standby mode and LED indicator will turn off
  • Device is now in the low power standby mode
  • To return to normal wifi mode, power cycle the device by unplugging the device from the power connector or at the wall

Deactivating Wifi
Networked standby mode, where wifi is disabled but wired ethernet is still active, can be enabled in the following way:

  • After the device is fully setup and on, tap the reset button on the back of the unit 8 times (8 presses)
  • Device will reboot (indicated by a flashing white LED indicator)
  • Device is now in the “wifi off” networked standby mode
  • To return to normal wifi mode, power cycle the device through the reset button or by unplugging the device from the power connector or at the wall
