How do I set up port forwarding?

Port forwarding lets you manually open a network port for a specific device to allow certain traffic through. 

To set up a Port Forward, follow these steps:

  1. Open the eero App, and tap Settings in the bottom-right corner

  2. Tap Advanced networking

  3. Tap Reservations & port forwarding

  4. From here, you can add an IP Reservation under IPv4 Reservations & Port Forwards or a firewall rule under IPv6 Firewall Rules

  5. Assign permissions to a connected device or add a new one. You'll assign your device's nickname, MAC address, and IP address

  6. Select Open a port. On the pop-up that appears, tap Save to continue

  7. Open a specific port or a range of ports (enter the starting port, a dash, then the ending port). Choose a nickname and select a protocol: TCP, UDP, or both

  8. Tap the Save button on the top right of the screen to save this setting

How do I remove a Port Forward?

Follow these steps to remove a Port Forward:

  1. Tap the Settings tab

  2. Tap Advanced networking, then tap Reservations & port forwarding

  3. Select a device IP reservation or create a new one by following the steps above

  4. Tap the desired port number or range

  5. Scroll down, then tap Delete port forward
