eero optimizes its performance based on your network layout, connected devices, and overall network usage. This results in fast speeds, efficient coverage, and reliable connections. Your system optimizes on three different time scales:

  • Short term (15 seconds to 1 minute): Your system determines the optimal path for data to travel through your network.

  • Medium term (about 1 hour): Your system identifies interference around your home and adjusts to minimize its impact.

  • Long term (2 days to 1 week): Your system selects optimal channels for your network. Channel changes can briefly disrupt your connection, so they occur infrequently.

System reboots or resets restart these optimizations. To maintain optimal network performance, avoid unnecessary resets.
